FORUM REAFFIRM SUPPORT FOR PDP, UDOM EMMANUEL.

The Forum of 2017 PDP Councillorship Aspirants in Akwa Ibom State have passed a vote of confidence on the State Governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for his unprecedented achievement in the last three years in office.

The Forum also commended the State chairman of the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Obong Paul Ekpo for his unflinching support for the Governor and applauded him for taking the Party to an enviable height.

Addressing journalists in uyo, recently, the State Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Amb. Umoudo Sunday Umoudo disclosed that the Forum have distanced itself from the sudden defection of Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio from the people's party "PDP".

The Grassroot Politician said that the Forum frowned at Chief Akpabio's action which they described as Selfish motivated against National Interest as claimed and urged him (Akpabio) to focus more on his hypocritic moves than Sentiment.

The association wondered why the Lawmaker is jubilating when majority of his family members and Elders in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District have distance themselves from such barbaric decisions.

Mr Umoudo said that the Forum Condemned in totality the actions of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) on the state account and described it as unconstitutional, undemocratic and a show of bad Sportsmanship by the APC led Federal Government.

More so, the Forum advised the State Governor to remain focus in his developmental stride and to sanitize his cabinet of MOLES.

They also advised His Excellency to empower more of Grassroot Politicians who will not only vote PDP but defend same for the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections.

Meanwhile, the Forum has a membership capacity of 1267 with not less than 50 supporters each, Statistics shows that the Forum controls about 20% of the total voting strength in the State.
