ABASIONO OKON: Restoring Hope and True Representation

People are at their best when the connection between them is strong and when a clear sense of purpose have been achieved.

Today the challenges facing Ntippe Ibibio, are immense.

The political system have betrayed the youth, who in their youthful days, envisioned better days for themselves. The time has come for a break from the old ways, for the restoration of hope, for responsible government, true and solid representation.

This will be achieved as we believe that there is no problem too great that a committed and dedicated team cannot overcome.

The legislature is an assemblage of the representatives of the people, elected under a legal framework to make laws for the good health of the society. It is the institutional body responsible for making laws and one through which the collective will of the people or part of it are articulated.

There has been sounds of thunderous jubilations in Ikono since the emergence of Abasiono Okon in the House of Assembly race. This development has not just been because of his unique qualities and numerous empowerment programmes recorded to his credit but also because he is from the deserving zoned area in Ikono-Ediene Itak.

Abasiono is an aspirant who is committed to creating legislations that would promote work programmes for youths of Ikono state constituency  and projects that should be able to offer targeted, personalized help to everyone seeking employments. He is committed to supporting the good works of His Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel- The Executive Governor of Akwa ibom State in Education, Agriculture, Security, Infrastructural developments, Health, etc.
This Real and positive changes only comes when a community chooses from itself, the best of itself, and when representation is honest and open. When there is exchange of ideas between the elected and her electorate, so that they are governing themselves - only indirectly.

This is the change that Ikono needs at the moment.

Politicians cannot have all the answers, and Representatives cannot solve all the problems, but when a representative establishes positive partnerships with his constituents, both parties would move their constituencies forward. Such communities/constituencies would witness rapid positive changes.
