It was a roll- out of an unprecedented crowd never before seen, on Wednesday 5th December, 2018 as the people of Ini ward 1, 9 and 10 converged at their various ward centers to lend their numerical weight on the state Govern
or, Mr Udom Emmanuel, Engr. Christopher Ekpeyong, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo( Macaire), PDP flag bearer, Ikono/ Ini federal constituency, Otuekong Emmanuel Ekpeyong ( Iraq), House of Assembly candidate, Ini state constituency and PDP.
Yesterday's rally came like a political earthquake in these areas and made it far reaching impact felt with an explosive crowd that poured into the arena.
Political leaders, traditional rulers, various social groups were not left out as they have continued to rain down their unflinching support for PDP.
Across the three wards, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, and Otuekong Emmanuel Ekpeyong presented themselves to the people, expressed their readiness to serve, unveiled their blue print and advocate support for PDP in the forthcoming general elections.
Reacting for Ikpe ward 1, Mr Edet Ingangidim Esq. Who spoke on triple capacity as the DG Mkpoikana - Abasi campaign organization, Deputy DG Ini - Abasi campaign organization and also as the political leader of ward 1 describes the duo as the right men for the the job and assured the PDP family of 100% victory at the polls across the 14 polling units of the ward in the forthcoming general elections.
Earlier, the PDP ward Chairman of Ikpe ward 1 thanked delegates for nominating the right candidates for the party during the party primaries and emphasized that PDP does not have opposition in the ward.
Speaking on behalf of the people of ukwok ward 9, the PDP ward chairman and youth leader assured Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, Otuekong Emmanuel Ekpeyong of their undivided support and loyalty to the party and announced that the ward is ready to weather the proposed federal might with what they described as the voice of the people of ukwok (local might).
"we are not afraid of federal might, we have seen worst intimidation but we as a united people of ukwok ward 9 have never failed, we are PDP and will deliver PDP in all our 7 polling units" they assured.
The rally took a twist in usuk ukwok ward 10, when the campaign train of the duo arrived Atan Ukwok primary school, encomiums and deep hearted prayers rented the air when the PDP chairman, Ini chapter, on behalf of Mkpoikana - Abasi campaign organization presented a brand new motorcycle to the latest beneficiary of Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo's benevolence, Mr Samuel Michael.
Mr Samuel Michael, a petty trader from the area broke into tears of joy and thanked the principal of Mkpoikana - Abasi campaign organization, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo for coming to his aid and promised to use the gift effectively.
Otuekong Emmanuel Ekpeyong (Iraq) announced the end of the long electricity problem in area.
"Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo and I will ensure that we provide a transformer to this community within the next 25 days" he assured.
Hon. Emmanuel Ekpeyong expressed that the need for this urgent intervention is to boast entrepreneurs and better the life of their constituents through electricity.
The PDP ward chairman of usuk Ukwok, ward 10 and the woman leader who spoke for the people of the area described the rally as a "Home Coming of PDP" not a campaign, and thanked Gov. Udom Emmanuel led administration for his benevolence to the people of the area and Ini LGA in general and assured PDP of winning in the 7 polling units of the ward.
However, the PDP chairman, Ini chapter, Mr Emmanuel Umah who is saddled with the responsibility of presenting the party flag bearers to the party faithfuls was not found wanting in discharging his duties across the three wards.
Akparawa Emmanuel Umah described the duo as capacity personified.
"Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, National Assembly candidate and Hon. Emmanuel Ekpeyong, State Assembly candidate have performed exceedingly well in their previous assignments, that is why we are saying CARRY GO" he confessed.
