In the game of soccer, a weak/ineffective captain is usually replaced with a better/stronger/energized team-mate and not a player from another team.

Ikono is divided into three political blocs (team)-Ikono middle, Ikono south and Ediene/Itak.

Going back memory lane, team Ediene/Itak have occupied the Green Chambers for Eight-uninterrupted years. Thereafter, Ini L.G.A had their turn, on return to Ikono, Team Ikono-South (the bloc with 60% electoral strength of Ikono L.G.A) being saddled with the office of the Green Chambers, discovered a weak-foot in its captain leading to a replacement.

Team Ikono-south has never beckoned on any other team to assist her with a player to replace their captain as she has a lion player in the person of *Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo aka Macaire as their replacement*

Sequel to an intense Solemn Assembly hosted in Ikono middle for the soul of Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency on 3rd January, 2018, the Elders, Stakeholders and Electorates resolved that the Health and Safety Consultant cum politician who is recognized as the *Principal Financier of the 2015 Elections in Ikono* should lead Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, this time from the front-line.

To this regard, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo triumphantly stormed Ini L.G. P.D.P secretariat to consult with the party structure and officially intimate the sister Local Government of his resolve to pilot the affairs of the Federal Constituency by occupying their highest political office in 2019.

Aside his promise to attract the dividends of democracy to the area, Macaire wept at the state of the PDP secretariat in both Local Governments Areas describing it as an issue of urgent attention. However, he promised to erect a befitting structure for the PDP in the two sister local Governments before the expiration of his first year (1 –year) in office.

The people of Ini extraction welcomed the entourage of Mkpoikana-Abasi Campaign Organization led by Hon. Inyangidim in what looked like a cavalcade or call it carnival.

Thunderous chants of praises of more than five thousand electorates filled the roads leading to the PDP secretariats to usher in the philanthropist as he consults with party.

In what seemed like the biblical description of Zaccheus(the Chief Tax Collector of Jericho) as he awaits the passing of our Messiah as recorded in the Gospel according to Luke(Luke 19 vs 1-4), many were seen on top of tall trees hoping to have a glimpse of the man called Macaire whose electoral capacity is second to none as long as Ikono/Ini federal Constituency is concern.

Lots of speakers spoke of the capacity of Macaire in terms of his altruistic lifestyle, education attainment, political might and acceptability, integrity and love for the Ikono/people with proven track records based on his past antecedents.

In response, the PDP Chapter Chairman in Ini together with his executives, welcomed the delegation describing macaire as a prayer answered.
